Presence of Rafael Alberto Pérez in Colombia

(Next week the Spanish Rafael Alberto Pérez, one of the most distinguished theorist and consultant related to Communication in Hispanoamerica will come to Colombia

The lecturer is in our country attending the invitation made by AFACOM and the Communication Faculties of the Universities: Externado de Colombia, Jorge Tadeo Lozano, Central, Javeriana, Politécnico Grancolombiano, Santo Tomás, Cooperativa de Colombia, Los Libertadores y Minuto de Dios.

As part of the conferences cycle that Pérez will develop, it is foreseen the talk “Communication Strategies and Organization: five keys to sail in the 21 st Century” that will take place the Monday 15 th May in the main auditory of the Universidad Externado de Colombia (12 Street Nº 1-17, East, Block G, Bogotá) from 10 to 12.30.

In this way, we extend the invitation to participate in the academic act with the Spanish expert that will take place in the Universidad Central, May the 15 th at 6.30 pm in the auditory in the 6 th floor, north headquarter (75 Street #15-91), where he will talk about the subject “What are Communication and its Strategies for?”).

El Ministerio de Cultura de la república Dominicana entregó a Rafael Alberto Pérez el premio al “Mejor libro iberoamericano sobre comunicación” que le ha concedido la IV Cumbre de Comunicadores Iberoamericanos. Esta cumbre celebrada los días 18 y 19 de marzo ha reunido en la República dominicana a una treintena de los mejores expertos en habla española (link a Tendencias 21)

At least that might have thought the participants of the Master in Communication of the University Diego Portales when Dr. Luis Quintana, one of the personalities of the Chilean publicity explained them that Rafael Alberto Pérez had been his teacher in a course of the Iberoamerican Publicity Community (CIBER) in 1979 in the Institute of Publicity of Madrid . Last year, a son of Quintana, today professor in the Chilean University , has been pupil of Rafael Alberto Pérez in the same master. So 25 years later Quintana and Pérez were able to encourage a friendship interrupted by distance but never lost.

We will never know, but what we do know is that Rafael Alberto got to two conclusions, that Adriá is as good communicator as a chef –and that though he is considered one of the bests in the World- and that a kitchen recipe is the most similar thing to a good strategy, for it needs imagination and method. The scene happened in the Casino of Madrid in the Espíritu del Líder (leader's spirit) that the “Master Cadena” gave to Adriá.
